MCO-230AIC-PE CO₂ Incubator: Performance and precision for cell cultures
The MCO-230AIC-PE is a high-end CO₂ incubator developed by PHCbi to meet the requirements of research laboratories in cell biology, regenerative medicine and biotechnology. With an internal capacity of 230 litres, it offers generous space for cultures while maintaining exceptional environmental stability.
Temperature control is based on the patented Direct Heat & Air Jacket (DHA) system, which uses three independent heating zones controlled by a PID microprocessor. This system ensures temperature uniformity of ±0.25°C at 37°C, even with frequent door opening. The dual-sensor infrared CO₂ sensor guarantees accuracy of ±0.15%, with continuous automatic calibration without moving parts, ensuring long-term reliability.
inCu-saFe technology: Integrated antimicrobial protection
The interior of the chamber is made of inCu-saFe copper-enriched stainless steel, an exclusive innovation from PHCbi. This material combines the germicidal properties of C1100 copper with the corrosion and discolouration resistance of 304 stainless steel. Tests have demonstrated the effectiveness of this surface against several strains of mycoplasma, significantly reducing the risk of cross-contamination.
The chamber design also incorporates moulded tray supports, freeing up space and facilitating cleaning. Humidity control is provided by natural evaporation, reaching up to 95% ±5% RH at 37°C, with gentle, vertical air circulation that preserves the integrity of the cultures.
Touchscreen interface and connectivity: Simplicity and traceability
The MCO-230AIC-PE is equipped with a WVGA colour touchscreen, allowing intuitive navigation even when wearing gloves. Temperature, CO₂ and alarm settings are easily accessible, and data can be exported via a standard USB port. The system automatically records events such as door openings, alarms and temperature variations, with the option of output in CSV format.
Security is enhanced by a heated, reversible external door, an optional automatic lock, and the ability to add up to 99 user IDs for complete traceability. The 30 mm access port with VOC-free silicone cap allows additional equipment to be integrated without compromising the internal environment.
