IKA MF 10.1: grinding and cutting head for optimal processing of fibrous materials
The MF 10.1 grinding head developed by IKA is an indispensable accessory for applications requiring reliable reduction of fibrous materials. Specially designed for grinding substances such as paper, vegetation and certain plastics, it stands out for its ability to efficiently process materials with low bulk density. This cutting head operates in an inline process, allowing easy integration into continuous workflows and optimal performance during grinding.
The design of the MF 10.1 enables homogeneous grinding thanks to the use of interchangeable screens. Before being discharged, the ground material is filtered through a screen with a hole diameter that can be selected according to specific requirements. This feature offers great flexibility in adapting the system to different particle sizes. The sieves, available separately, are not included in the standard delivery, allowing the user to choose the most suitable configurations for their application. Once ground and sieved, the material can be easily collected using a standard NS 29 container.
The MF 10.1 features a robust construction made of 1.4308 stainless steel, ensuring excellent resistance to wear and corrosive agents, while meeting the cleanliness and hygiene requirements of laboratory and industrial environments. It is particularly recommended for use when fibrous substances need to be processed into a fine, uniform powder. The unit has been designed for easy installation and dismantling, facilitating cleaning and regular maintenance.
The device is optimised for laboratory use, with compact dimensions (320 x 560 x 300 mm) and a weight of only 2.633 kg, making it easy to handle. It operates in an ambient temperature range of 5 to 40 °C, meeting the common requirements of standard working environments. Its maximum peripheral speed reaches 24.5 m/s, offering fast and efficient grinding performance while ensuring uniform and reproducible results.
Designed to complement the MF 10 universal grinding system, the MF 10.1 is the ideal tool for processing difficult samples in research, quality control and industrial sample preparation. Its flexibility and precision make it the preferred choice for laboratories looking for a reliable and durable solution.
