Furthermore, the system offers a low vacuum option, allowing for gentle manipulation of the corneal flap during the microkeratome's reverse pass. This innovative feature also ensures stable globe fixation during laser ablation.
To ensure patient safety and comfort, the Microkeratome Evolution 3E is equipped with a "slow vacuum release" option. This functionality allows for a gradual start of suction as well as a gradual release, minimizing the risk of retinal trauma and discomfort for the patient.
