MICROSTAR 30 control: a compact, high-performance overhead shaker for demanding applications
The MICROSTAR 30 control from IKA is the perfect combination of cutting-edge technology and compact design, offering an overhead stirring solution suitable for laboratory environments where space is limited but performance requirements are high. This innovative device is specially developed for applications requiring high speed accuracy and increased resistance to chemical and mechanical stress.
Thanks to its brushless DC motor , the MICROSTAR 30 control guarantees increased longevity and optimised energy performance. The stirring speed, continuously adjustable from 0/30 to 500 rpm, allows you to work with a wide variety of fluids, including those with viscosities up to 20,000 mPas. The processing capacity is up to 20 litres, making it a versatile choice for different batch sizes and types of solutions.
The integrated LCD display offers exceptional visibility and rapid response to adjustments, while being protected by a tempered glass surface to withstand common chemicals found in laboratories. Control is via an intuitive touchscreen and rotary knob, allowing precise and simple adjustment, even when wearing gloves. The key lock function secures the settings against accidental adjustment.
The MICROSTAR 30 control has a microprocessor that automatically regulates speed to maintain constant stirring, even when sample viscosity varies. It also incorporates an external PT1000 temperature sensor and displays the temperature in real time, ensuring precise control of heat-sensitive reactions. A timer programmable up to 6000 minutes makes it easy to monitor experiments with a set duration.
Safety is at the heart of this device's design. Vibration sensors detect deviations from authorised thresholds and can automatically stop agitation to prevent accidents. The die-cast aluminium and thermoplastic polymer housing provides robustness suitable for harsh environments while maintaining a low weight of only 1.26 kg.
Connectivity is also ensured thanks to a USB interface for documenting parameters via the labworldsoft® software and for updating the firmware, as well as a WPAN interface. The device operates over a wide voltage range (100–240 V) and frequency range (50/60 Hz), making it suitable for worldwide use.
The MICROSTAR 30 control combines performance, safety and ergonomics to offer researchers a reliable and durable tool that is perfectly suited to laboratory applications requiring efficient and controlled shaking.
