MIKRO 200 centrifuge: performance and precision for modern laboratories
The MIKRO 200 from Hettich is one of the fastest microlitre centrifuges in its class. Designed to meet the requirements of molecular biology laboratories, it can process up to 30 2 ml tubes at a maximum speed of 15,000 rpm, generating a relative centrifugal force (RCF) of 21,382. This performance guarantees optimal sample separation, even for the smallest volumes.
Thanks to its compact design (275 x 344 x 260 mm) and low noise level (≤ 58 dB(A)), the MIKRO 200 fits easily into any laboratory environment without disrupting working conditions. It is equipped with a brushless motor, a one-hand lid locking system, and a backlit control panel displaying real-time parameters.
Features for intuitive and safe use
The MIKRO 200 stands out for its ease of use. It has an ergonomic keypad and control button, four customisable programme memories, and nine acceleration and deceleration levels. The pulse button allows for short cycles, ideal for rapid protocols.
Safety is also at the heart of its design: lid fall protection, emergency opening, automatic rotor recognition, imbalance shut-off, and a stainless steel chamber ensure reliable and long-lasting use. An audible signal indicates the end of the centrifugation cycle.
Versatile rotors and compatibility with various tube types
The MIKRO 200 offers a choice of four fixed-angle rotors, suitable for different types of microlitre and PCR tubes. The rotors are designed to accommodate tubes from 0.2 to 2 ml, with specific adapters for each format. Available models include:
- Rotor 2434: 24 x 2 ml tubes, 45° angle, max. RCF 21,382
- Rotor 2437: 30 x 2 ml tubes, 45° angle inside / 55° angle outside, max. RCF 21,382
- Rotor 2428: 24 x 2 ml tubes, compatible with spin columns, 45° angle, max. RCF 21,382
- Rotor 2418-A: 4 strips of 8 PCR tubes, angle 45°, max. RCF 14,338
Each rotor is equipped with a bioseal lid tested in accordance with DIN EN 61010. Phenol-resistant conical adapters are recommended for high speeds.
