MIMLED 600 by Mimsal: an intuitive surgical lighting solution
The MIMLED 600 from Mimsal is a high-precision surgical lamp designed to meet the needs of modern medical facilities. It is intended for lighting examination and minor surgery areas, offering exceptional light quality thanks to its high-performance LED system. With a light intensity of up to 60,000 lux at a distance of 1 metre, this lamp provides perfect visibility of the operating field, even in the most demanding conditions.
With a colour temperature of 4000 K and a colour rendering index (CRI) of 95 or higher, the MIMLED 600 faithfully reproduces tissue colours, which is crucial for successful diagnosis and treatment. The uniform distribution of light, even in the presence of obstacles (up to two screens), ensures optimum performance. Its optical design also significantly reduces glare and heat build-up compared to traditional halogen systems.
The lamp control system is ergonomic and intuitive. The brightness can be adjusted to six different levels, either directly from the upper housing or via the sterilisable central handle, which also allows quick switching on for emergency situations. The light can be adjusted continuously and progressively, ensuring optimal visual comfort for the practitioner.
The MIMLED 600 light head is mounted on a rotating support offering 270° freedom of movement, complemented by 360° rotation on its articulated arm. This mechanical flexibility allows precise positioning, whatever the requirements of the medical procedure. The model is available in several configurations: on a mobile stand, wall-mounted or suspended from the ceiling with different arm lengths.
Components that come into direct contact with medical staff, such as the handle, are designed to be easily cleaned, disinfected and sterilised. The blue handle, which is autoclavable at 134°C, is designed to withstand up to 1,000 reprocessing cycles. A set of replacement handles is recommended to ensure continuity of care in a sterile environment.
In addition, the MIMLED 600 incorporates several essential safety features: overheating protection, automatic shutdown in the event of a power failure, and automatic restart with the last saved settings after a power failure. In the event of excessive overheating, an emergency lighting mode limits the luminance to 40,000 lux to ensure user safety.
The lamp meets the requirements for medical environments according to IEC 60601-2-41. It is compatible with the most stringent electromagnetic conditions, ensuring stability even in the vicinity of equipment such as wireless communication devices or MRI machines (provided that safety distances are observed).
With a service life of over 50,000 hours for the LEDs, the MIMLED 600 is a reliable and sustainable investment for any healthcare centre, clinic or hospital.
