Fluoroscan Insight 2 – Intuitive solution for extremity imaging
Hologic's Fluoroscan Insight 2 is a high-performance device for fluoroscopic imaging of the extremities. This mini C-arm has been designed to offer a compact, easy-to-use and cost-effective solution without compromising image quality. Specially designed for orthopaedic environments, it fits perfectly into a variety of medical settings such as operating theatres, emergency departments, doctors' surgeries, outpatient surgery clinics and sports medicine facilities.
Its ergonomic and mobile design makes it highly manoeuvrable, facilitating movement and positioning around the patient. Equipped with a high-sensitivity 6"/4" dual-mode caesium iodide image intensifier, it captures high-resolution images while ensuring minimal radiation exposure. The system operates in continuous fluoroscopy, instant acquisition and digital cine recording modes, flexibly meeting all clinical needs.
One of its major advantages is its 24-inch high-definition colour touch screen , the largest in its class. Combined with MegaView™ technology, it allows instant image magnification of up to 20% with a simple double-tap on the screen or by pressing the foot pedal. This facilitates viewing, even from a distance, and is suitable for demanding operating environments.
The system includes real-time image optimisation features such as automatic noise reduction, contour enhancement, automatic dose management and brightness and contrast control. Storage is on an SSD drive and allows up to 10,000 images to be saved. Connectivity is provided via Ethernet and, optionally, wirelessly, with DICOM compatibility for integration with hospital PACS systems.
Easy to use thanks to its different control modes (automatic, standard, manual), the Fluoroscan Insight 2 adapts to each user's preferences. It also features customisation tools for improved clinical ergonomics. It offers multiple printing and data export options (USB, CD/DVD, JPEG, TIFF, DICOM), facilitating the archiving and sharing of examinations.
