Ministat 240 – The compact, sustainable and scalable temperature control solution
The Huber Ministat 240 is a high-precision temperature controller designed to meet the most demanding requirements of research laboratories, universities, and the chemical and pharmaceutical industries. Combining power, reliability and compactness, this device allows temperature control over an extremely wide range from -45 °C to +200 °C. This model is part of the renowned Ministats series, known for its ability to provide fast and stable temperature control in a small format.
The technological heart of the Ministat 240 is its Pilot ONE controller, a new-generation interface with a 5.7-inch TFT colour touchscreen. This intelligent system allows for smooth navigation thanks to easily identifiable icons and colour-coded menus. It includes a technical glossary, contextual help and supports 13 languages. Its extensive connectivity (Ethernet, USB, RS232) facilitates integration into automated or connected work environments, particularly via Spy software for remote control and data acquisition.
The Ministat 240 has a variable speed pump combining pressure (up to 0.7 bar, 22 l/min) and suction (0.4 bar, 16 l/min), ensuring excellent heat transfer fluid circulation even in complex or high-viscosity circuits (up to 50 mm²/s). Its 5.5 litre bath volume (reduced to 2.8 litres with insert) allows rapid temperature rise or fall with excellent stability of 0.02 K at -10 °C. The unit is cooled by an air compressor using the natural refrigerant R-290, an environmentally friendly fluid with very low global warming potential (GWP = 0.02), free of CFCs and H-CFCs.
The system is secured by overheating protection in accordance with DIN 12876 (class III / FL), making it suitable even for critical applications. In addition, the Ministat series offers a modular concept via E-grades (Exclusive or Professional) that allow the addition of advanced features: TAC adaptive control, thermal profile programming, second setpoint, multi-point calibration, or calendar-programmed start-up.
Compact (300 x 465 x 516 mm), lightweight (41 kg), quiet (59 dB) and robust (stainless steel housing), it can be easily integrated into a workbench or process installation.
