Cios Fusion – Performance and Precision in Surgical Imaging
Intraoperative imaging is a key factor in the success of surgical procedures. The Siemens Cios Fusion is a mobile C-arm designed to provide clear and detailed images while optimizing X-ray exposure. It leverages Full View FD technology, which enhances image coverage by up to 160% compared to conventional image intensifiers, allowing for more comprehensive visualization of anatomical structures.
One of the main strengths of the Cios Fusion lies in its Retina imaging chain, combined with the IDEAL (Intelligent Dose Efficiency Algorithm). This system automatically adjusts radiation dose, contrast, and brightness to ensure sharp images with minimal exposure, thereby providing better protection for patients and medical staff.
Its ergonomic and compact design facilitates movement and positioning in the operating room. The system is designed for easy handling by medical personnel, thanks to its touch interface and intuitive navigation controls. The ability to control the C-arm directly from the sterile field allows for quick image adjustments without interrupting the procedure, offering significant time savings and increased precision.
The Cios Fusion is particularly suited for orthopedic, vascular, and cardiac surgeries. It integrates a digital navigation interface, NaviLink 2D, for precise real-time guidance. It also features Live Graphical Overlay, enabling surgeons to directly mark anatomical structures on the image. In fluoroscopy mode, it provides an imaging frequency of up to 30 pulses per second, ensuring optimal quality even in complex interventions.
With its power management system, the device delivers sustained high-performance imaging without the risk of overheating or image quality degradation. Its lightweight and balanced design offers great positioning flexibility, while its adjustable high-brightness screens ensure optimal visibility from all angles.
The Cios Fusion easily integrates with hospital networks via LAN or Wi-Fi, enabling rapid archiving and sharing of images in DICOM format. It has an internal storage capacity of 150,000 images, with the option to export files via USB, CD, or DVD. Connectivity with external video sources, such as endoscopy or ultrasound, is also possible through the HD VideoManager and Videosplitter.
