MobileDiagnost M50: High-Performance Mobile Digital Radiography
The Philips MobileDiagnost M50 is a mobile digital X-ray solution designed to meet the growing demands of modern healthcare facilities. Combining compactness, speed and flexibility, this system enables high-quality radiological examinations to be performed directly at the patient's bedside, even in the most complex environments such as intensive care units, operating theatres or emergency departments.
Equipped with a wireless digital detector, the M50 facilitates free-standing and operating table examinations while reducing interference with other medical equipment. Its real-time communication with the X-ray system is independent of the hospital IT network, ensuring fast and secure image transmission to PACS or a connected printer.
The high-frequency generator, available in 16 kW and 32 kW versions, allows a wide range of examinations to be performed, including complex cases such as spinal examinations or obese patients. Thanks to special APR control, exposure time can be reduced to just 1 millisecond, optimising image quality while controlling radiation dose, a particularly valuable advantage for paediatric examinations.
The Eleva user interface, common to several Philips systems, simplifies staff training and improves workflow continuity. With just three clicks, an examination can be performed, and images are available in less than 14 seconds on the 19-inch colour touchscreen. The screen can be rotated on two axes to suit the operator's height and facilitate transport in narrow corridors.
The UNIQUE integrated image processing system guarantees consistent quality across all anatomical regions by automatically balancing overexposed and underexposed areas. A light collimator and SID distance measurement laser enable fast and accurate positioning, reducing repeat examinations.
Weighing less than 195 kg, the MobileDiagnost M50 is lighter and more compact than motorised systems, making it easy to move around the hospital. Its integrated battery provides sufficient autonomy for travel, and its standby mode extends battery life by reducing energy consumption.
This system is an ideal solution for facilities looking to switch to digital radiography without compromising their budget. It offers excellent value for money, long-lasting performance and a fast return on investment.
