MODI-02: Excellence in corneal topography for demanding professionals
The MODI-02 from CSO is an electro-optical medical instrument dedicated to the capture and digital analysis of corneal images. Designed to provide real-time visualisation on screen, this topographer embodies cutting-edge technology in corneal examination, combining ergonomics, precision and versatility.
At the heart of the MODI-02 is a Placido disc with 24 rings, enabling the generation of high-definition measurements of the corneal surface. With over 6,000 measurement points and more than 100,000 points analysed, the device offers highly detailed and reliable mapping, covering a diameter ranging from 0.4 mm to over 9.6 mm. Its dioptric measurement range extends from 1 to 100 D, ensuring great flexibility for a variety of clinical applications.
The system incorporates a high-resolution monochromatic video camera, optimised for accurate capture. Thanks to its Phoenix software, compatible with Windows XP, 7, 8 and 10, users can perform multiple map comparisons on the same display window and efficiently organise their image files.
Among its features, the MODI-02 offers complete pupillometry with measurement under scotopic (0.04 lux), mesopic (4 lux) and photopic ( 50 lux) conditions, as well as in a dynamic mode. It also includes a video keratoscope equipped with a white light for capturing colour images and a cobalt blue light for analysing lens fit with fluorescein.
The keratoconus screening function is based on LED technology offering a constant colour temperature, with an estimated lifetime of 5,000 hours of continuous use. The lens fitting module allows accurate simulation of rigid lens fitting, based on an internal manufacturer database.
In terms of construction, the MODI-02 has a compact format (470 x 315 x 250 mm) and a light weight of 4.5 kg, making it easy to integrate into clinical environments. It connects to the computer via a USB3 Type A cable and is powered by an external 24V DC source.
Compliance with accuracy and repeatability standards is guaranteed by its "Class A" classification according to ISO19980:2005 (E), highlighting CSO's commitment to quality and reliability.
