The Spacelabs élance multiparameter monitor: the compact, high-performance solution for advanced clinical monitoring
The Spacelabs Healthcare élance multiparameter monitor has been designed to provide accurate and flexible monitoring in demanding hospital environments. With a compact design and weighing just 2.4 kg, it combines performance, portability and ease of use, while adapting to the mobility constraints of healthcare teams. Whether in the emergency room, resuscitation or intensive care unit, it guarantees continuous and reliable monitoring of critical physiological parameters.
With its 10.2-inch colour touchscreen, the élance monitor offers an intuitive interface that allows for smooth navigation between functions. The multi-trace display provides a clear view of ECG, respiration and SpO₂ curves, with up to 5 traces depending on the configuration selected. In addition to standard parameters (ECG, RESP, SpO₂, NIBP, temperature), it can integrate invasive pressure (IBP) and expired carbon dioxide (EtCO₂) measurements, depending on the options selected. This makes it a modular tool suitable for any clinical situation.
The Elance can be powered either from the mains or via its internal rechargeable battery, which provides up to 5 hours of autonomy, making it ideal for intra-hospital transport or in the event of a power failure. It is also designed to be integrated into a centralised system thanks to its RJ45 network connectivity, allowing simultaneous monitoring from a central station. This integration capability optimises care coordination and enables real-time remote supervision.
In terms of design, Spacelabs Healthcare has focused on safety, reliability and simplified maintenance. Each module is electrically isolated, and the system ensures optimal patient protection in the event of a failure. In addition, the device can be calibrated and tested via dedicated biomedical menus accessible to technical teams. A USB port also allows data to be exported or configurations to be saved.
The Elance monitor is available in several versions (5, 5i, 5c and Elite) with different interface and measurement options, allowing healthcare facilities to choose the most appropriate configuration for their medical protocols. Its sleek, robust design, coupled with a multilingual user interface, makes it a wise choice for hospitals looking for a compact, high-performance and scalable monitor.
