Philips M3046A: a Compact and Versatile Patient Monitor for Continuous and Mobile Care
The Philips M3046A is a portable patient monitor designed to provide effective and continuous monitoring of adult, paediatric and neonatal patients in a variety of clinical environments. Suitable for use in critical care units, operating theatres, intermediate care wards or hospital transport, it is a reliable monitoring solution that is lightweight and space-saving.
This monitor works in conjunction with the M3001A Multi-Measurement Server module and the M3012A, M3015A or M3016A extensions, enabling comprehensive monitoring of vital parameters. It measures ECG with up to 3 leads with basic arrhythmia analysis and ST analysis, or a 12-lead ECG based on EASI™ technology, as well as SpO₂ with artefact suppression (FAST-SpO₂), blood pressure (invasive and non-invasive), temperature, respiration, and CO₂ in sidestream or mainstream mode (optional).
Its 6.5-inch colour LCD screen with a wide viewing angle ensures clear and quick data reading. An external screen can also be connected via a VGA output for an enlarged display. The TouchBar user interface simplifies navigation and allows for quick familiarisation, even in emergency care settings.
The M3046A also allows local recording via an external tape printer, connection to a local printer via IrDA, and integration into a monitoring network for centralised or inter-bed monitoring, with or without a wireless connection. It is therefore ideal for healthcare facilities equipped with a Philips Information Center system.
With its optional battery, this monitor guarantees a minimum battery life of 2.5 hours with fast recharging, ensuring continuity of monitoring during transport. Patient parameters, 10- to 48-hour trends and events can be stored and transferred from one monitor to another thanks to the portability of the MMS module. This allows for seamless continuity of care without interruption of clinical data.
The M3046A complies with international medical safety standards (IEC 601-1, UL 2601-1, etc.) and meets the requirements of Directive 93/42/EEC. With its robustness, flexibility and compatibility with the Philips IntelliVue ecosystem, it is an essential tool for healthcare teams seeking to optimise monitoring while ensuring mobility and quality of care.
