Multipette® E3: An electronic solution for serial pipetting
The Eppendorf Multipette® E3 is an electronic positive displacement pipette designed to meet the demands of modern laboratories for precision, ergonomics and flexibility. It represents a major evolution in the Multipette range, first introduced in 1979, which has since revolutionised serial pipetting.
This model can dispense up to 100 times without having to re-aspirate between each dispense. This capability makes it ideal for filling plates or series of tubes, particularly when using nucleic acid purification kits. Thanks to its electronic motor, the Multipette® E3 significantly reduces manual effort, minimising the risk of musculoskeletal disorders associated with repetitive movements.
Its large backlit display makes it easy to read the settings, reducing eye strain. The buttons are ergonomically positioned to follow the natural movements of the hand. The device is powered by a rechargeable lithium-ion battery, providing enough power to fill more than 100 96-well plates without interruption.
The Multipette® E3 works with Combitips® advanced tips, which are automatically recognised by the device. This system guarantees optimum precision and reproducibility, regardless of the density, viscosity or volatility of the liquid used. The positive displacement principle eliminates the air cushion, ensuring accurate distribution of the desired volume.
In terms of safety, the Multipette® E3 protects against aerosol contamination thanks to its hermetically sealed pistons. It is also suitable for handling radioactive or toxic substances. Its design allows for fast and accurate dispensing of long series, while ensuring maximum user protection.
The Multipette® E3 is also ACT® certified for its reduced environmental impact, offering laboratories transparency on Eppendorf's sustainable practices.
