Microbiological safety is at the heart of the Multitron Cell's design. Its housing and door are coated with a pure silver-based additive, certified according to QualityLabs BT GmbH SOPs. This treatment reduces the microbial load by a factor of more than 10⁵. The smooth surface of the chamber floor, with a super-glossy white finish, facilitates wet cleaning. Hygienic direct steam humidification prevents evaporation, stabilises the culture volume and maintains low osmotic pressure, even over long periods. The system is completely aseptic and requires no cleaning.
Precise control and intelligent integration for demanding applications
The Multitron Cell features electronic CO₂ control via an infrared sensor, allowing regulation between 0 and 20%, ideal for sensitive cultures. It has side access points for external sensors and additional gas lines. Safety is enhanced by features such as automatic shutdown when the door is opened, automatic restart, parameter monitoring, visual and audible alarms, and triple protection against overheating. These features ensure reliable and reproducible cultivation.
