IKA MVP 10 basic: a high-performance, durable diaphragm pump
The MVP 10 basic from IKA is a diaphragm pump designed to meet the requirements of applications requiring a clean, oil-free vacuum. Thanks to its diaphragm technology, it can be used completely dry, thus avoiding the constraints associated with the use of oil while ensuring high efficiency. It is ideal for laboratory environments where cleanliness and reliability are essential criteria.
The MVP 10 basic is designed using materials that are particularly resistant to chemicals, with all parts in contact with the gas made of PTFE or PTFE compounds. This gives the pump excellent chemical compatibility and a long service life, even when used intensively with aggressive solvents. It is suitable for numerous applications such as vacuum filtration, distillation, evaporation and other processes requiring controlled vacuum.
This compact pump offers a maximum flow rate of 1.7 m³/h (28.3 l/min) and a final pressure of up to 7 mbar. Its speed-optimised motor operates at 1380 rpm at 50 Hz and 1680 rpm at 60 Hz, ensuring stable and reliable performance. A gas ballast valve limits vapour condensation and optimises the service life of the membrane.
The MVP 10 basic has been designed for practical everyday use. Its compact design and small footprint (245 x 155 x 320 mm) make it easy to integrate into laboratory benches, while its weight of 11.5 kg makes it easy to transport from one workstation to another. The pump is also quiet, with a noise level of only 65 dB(A), which helps improve working comfort.
Maintenance is simplified thanks to a well-designed internal architecture that allows direct access to components requiring servicing. Users can carry out routine maintenance themselves without specific technical skills, reducing downtime and associated costs.
With IP54 protection according to DIN EN 60529, the pump is protected against dust and water splashes, ensuring high safety during use in demanding environments. It operates in an ambient temperature range of 10 to 40 °C and a maximum relative humidity of 80%.
