1000 mL Centrifuge Bottle – 3120-1000 from Thermo Fisher Scientific
The Nalgene™ 3120-1000 centrifuge bottle has been specifically developed to meet the requirements of medical and research laboratories handling large-volume samples. Its 1000 mL capacity allows cell separation, bacterial pelletings and protein purification protocols to be carried out in a single step, optimising the time and resources required during experiments.
This model is made of copolymer polypropylene (PPCO), a material known for its resistance to chemicals commonly used in laboratories, while withstanding repeated autoclaving cycles. This rigid, translucent plastic ensures good visibility of the contents while guaranteeing excellent mechanical durability. With an outer diameter of 98 mm and a height of 174.2 mm, the 3120-1000 bottle is perfectly suited to a wide range of centrifuge rotors.
It can withstand a maximum centrifugal force of 7100 xg, making it compatible with many standard protocols in hospital, pharmaceutical and academic environments. It is designed to operate efficiently between 4°C and 22°C during centrifugation, with a storage temperature of up to 0°C. To ensure good performance and prevent deformation or breakage, it is essential to fill the bottle to at least 80% of its total capacity.
This centrifuge bottle can be used with compatible screw caps to ensure a secure seal, especially when handling sensitive substances. Its size, robustness and compatibility with common laboratory practices make it a reliable and economical choice for any medical or research facility requiring large-volume centrifuge containers.
