NanoPhotometer® NP80: The Benchmark in Portable UV/Vis Spectroscopy
The NanoPhotometer® NP80 is a state-of-the-art UV/Vis spectrophotometer designed to meet the needs of modern laboratories for nucleic acid and protein quantification. With an exceptional detection range (1–16,500 ng/µl for DNA and 0.03–478 mg/ml for proteins), it offers unmatched accuracy and reliability, even with extremely low sample volumes (from 0.3 µl).
Thanks to its patented sample compression technology, the NP80 forms a capillary film between two quartz surfaces, eliminating the effects of surface tension and evaporation. This innovation guarantees accurate and reproducible measurements, even for the most complex samples. In addition, its integrated vortex ensures gentle homogenisation of samples, further improving the accuracy of results.
The NP80 stands out for its versatility: it can be used in microvolume mode or with cuvettes, offering a dynamic range of up to 2.6 OD (extendable to 26 OD with DiluCell™). Its integrated cuvette port is ideal for OD600 measurements and protein assays (Bradford, BCA), while its microvolume mode allows fast and accurate analyses on small volumes.
Connectivity is another major advantage of the NP80. Equipped with Wi-Fi, LAN, HDMI and USB, it allows remote control and easy access to data from computers, tablets or smartphones (Android and iOS). Its proprietary operating system, NPOS, guarantees total data security and is immune to known malware. In addition, it is compatible with AirPrint , HP and DYMO printers , as well as 1D and 2D barcode readers, facilitating integration into existing workflows.
The NP80 is also designed for mobile use. With a small footprint (20 x 20 x 12 cm) and light weight (3.8 to 5.2 kg depending on configuration), it can be easily transported from one laboratory to another or used in the field. Its optional battery pack provides up to 8 hours of battery life, allowing flexible use without relying on an external power source.
Compliant with GMP, GLP and 21 CFR Part 11 standards, the NP80 is ideal for pharmaceutical laboratories and regulated environments. Its optional CFR21 software provides electronic record management, electronic signatures and full audit trail, ensuring optimal data traceability and integrity.
