Thermo Scientific OMS 100: thermal performance and reliability for laboratories
The Thermo Scientific OMS 100 oven is a piece of laboratory equipment designed to meet heating and drying needs in scientific and industrial environments. Thanks to its mechanical convection, it guarantees even heat distribution throughout the working chamber, ensuring reproducible and reliable results. This model allows you to work in a temperature range from 50°C to 250°C, with accuracy to within one degree. It is equipped with a fixed-speed fan that promotes uniform hot air circulation, reducing temperature variations and optimising the quality of heat treatments.
The interior chamber of the OMS 100 is made of corrosion-resistant galvanised steel, with smooth, easy-to-clean surfaces. The control system is intuitive, with a front panel featuring a multifunction display and easy-to-use control buttons. The user can set the temperature, program start and stop timers, and view error logs to ensure accurate monitoring of operations.
Thermal safety and precise control with the OMS 100
Safety is at the heart of the OMS 100's design. It incorporates several protective features, including automatic shut-off in case of overheating, an audible and visual alarm, and a system to protect samples from excessive temperatures. The PT100 temperature sensor, mounted in the upper part of the chamber, ensures constant and precise regulation. In the event of controller failure, the thermal protection system takes over to prevent damage to samples.
The oven is also equipped with an RS-232 interface for connection to a computer for monitoring and documenting operating parameters. This feature is particularly useful for laboratories that must comply with strict protocols or document their processes. The OMS 100 is designed for easy bench-top installation, with adjustable feet to ensure stability and levelling. It can also be stacked with another oven using an optional stacking adapter.
An oven designed for durability and flexibility
The Thermo Scientific OMS 100 is designed to operate in ambient conditions ranging from 18°C to 32°C, with a maximum relative humidity of 80%, non-condensing. It is suitable for operation at altitudes up to 2000 metres above sea level. Its outer casing is made of painted steel, providing protection against impact and scratches.
This model is ideal for applications such as material drying, heat treatment, decomposition, oxidation, reduction or preheating. It must not be used with flammable, explosive or corrosive substances. Thanks to its robust design and high-quality components, the OMS 100 offers a reliable and durable solution for demanding laboratories.
