With a built-in flow meter, this device enhances patient comfort by eliminating the risk of humidifier spillage.
This device is essential for individuals suffering from chronic respiratory disorders. Its operation is based on a process of oxygen concentration from ambient air. Through a series of sieves, filters, and a compressor, the device removes nitrogen from the air, thereby increasing the oxygen content. This oxygen concentrate is then delivered to the patient through an oxygen mask, a tracheostomy mask, a connector, or via a nasal cannula, providing a continuous source of vital oxygen.
One of the distinctive features of the Companion 590i is its integrated flow meter, which is directly connected to the humidifier. This configuration significantly enhances patient comfort during oxygen therapy by eliminating the risk of humidifier spillage, thereby preventing water from entering the patient's nasal cannulas.
