The P650: A multifunctional measuring tool for optimum accuracy
The P650 from Dostmann electronic is a high-precision measuring device designed to meet the demanding requirements of professionals in metrology, industry, quality control and laboratories. This 1-channel model is part of Dostmann's P600 range and stands out for its versatility, increased accuracy and numerous advanced features. It accepts a wide range of probes, allowing you to measure various physical quantities such as temperature, relative humidity, air flow, electrical resistance and voltage.
One of the main advantages of the P650 is its compatibility with several types of sensors: Pt100 probes (4-wire), K, J, L, N, R, S and T thermocouples, as well as humidity and flow sensors. This diversity allows it to be used in applications as varied as environmental control, thermal testing, industrial process validation and the measurement of physical quantities in harsh environments. It displays measurements with a fine resolution of up to 0.01 °C, ensuring maximum accuracy even in sensitive ranges.
The P650 has a two-line LCD display that allows two parameters to be read quickly and simultaneously, or the same parameter on two channels in dual-input versions. Thanks to its integrated memory function, the user can view minimum, maximum and average values. The fast mode allows the measurement frequency to be increased to up to 4 values per second, ideal for monitoring rapid changes. An automatic shut-off function extends battery life and prevents the device from being left on accidentally.
The instrument offers several calibration options to ensure consistent accuracy even after probe replacement. Standard calibration (DIN curve), code calibration (2-point calibration with code written on the probe), or physical calibration at one, two or three reference points can be performed. This allows for complete traceability of measurements, which is essential in regulated environments.
The ergonomic P650 can be used as a portable device thanks to its retractable stand, or as a fixed device with mounting brackets. It runs on a 9V battery, offering approximately 20 hours of battery life. An RS232 interface allows data to be transferred to a computer or printer, making measurement monitoring more convenient and professional.
The device also has a port for entering flow data, with automatic calculation of volume flow via the input of the passage area (in cm² or m²). It is also possible to activate or deactivate a measurement channel as required. Its memory records values in automatic or manual mode, with various configurable time intervals.
Its compact and robust plastic housing effectively protects the electronic components, while maintaining a light weight (300 g) and practical dimensions (200 x 85 x 40 mm), allowing for easy transport and handling.
