Philips IntelliVue MP2 – A Flexible, Rugged, and Intuitive Monitoring Solution for Critical Care and Medical Transport
The Philips IntelliVue MP2 was designed to meet the challenges of the most demanding clinical environments, where portability, durability, and responsiveness are crucial. This portable patient monitor is an essential tool in intensive care units, emergency transport units, and inter-hospital transfers. Compact yet powerful, the MP2 provides high-quality clinical measurements and allows for continuous, reliable monitoring even in challenging environments.
Weighing between 0.9 kg and 1.2 kg, depending on the configuration, the MP2 includes an ergonomic handle for easy transport and a rugged housing compliant with the 7M3 standard for shock and vibration resistance. It is also suitable for ground and air transport, making it safe and practical for mobile interventions.
The 3.5-inch QVGA color touchscreen is bright and easy to read—even in sunlight—and allows intuitive navigation, with up to three waveforms displayed simultaneously, depending on the configuration. The MP2 includes customizable soft keys for quick access to essential functions, and an optional night vision goggle (NVG) filter is available for nighttime operations.
In terms of performance, the MP2 provides a comprehensive set of advanced clinical parameters: 12-lead ECG (standard or EASI method), arrhythmia and ST segment analysis, SpOâ‚‚ measurement (Philips FAST, Nellcor OxiMax, or Masimo rainbow SET), COâ‚‚ (mainstream or sidestream), non-invasive blood pressure (NBP), invasive pressure, temperature, respiratory rate, and more. All measurements are automatically recorded for trending and reporting.
The Smart Alarm Delay algorithm minimizes unnecessary alarms by delaying minor alerts while maintaining full responsiveness in the event of significant changes. The MP2 can also connect to an external bedside display via the Philips IntelliVue XDS software, providing enhanced visibility at a distance.
It supports both wired and wireless communication, allowing seamless transitions between care environments, and integrates directly into the Philips IntelliVue Information Center for centralized monitoring and clinical decision support. With a battery life of up to 3 hours, the MP2 enables uninterrupted monitoring during patient transport. It recharges in 2 hours when powered off, and 12 hours while operating.
The Philips IntelliVue MP2 is a compact, intuitive, and versatile monitoring solution—perfectly suited to fast-paced, dynamic clinical settings. It gives caregivers the information they need to act quickly and confidently, without compromising mobility or performance.
