IntelliVue MX450 : A Comprehensive and Adaptable Monitoring Solution for Hospital Environments
The Philips IntelliVue MX450 offers precise and reliable monitoring of vital signs and clinical data while adapting to the changing demands of patient care.
The 12-inch touchscreen of the MX450 allows for clear and quick viewing of patient information. The user interface, common across the IntelliVue monitoring portfolio, is familiar and easy to use, simplifying training and daily operation. With a built-in ambient light sensor, the screen automatically adjusts its brightness to maintain readability in virtually any lighting environment, whether in a brightly lit room or a dimly lit patient room.
In hospital environments where non-actionable alarms are frequent, the optional Alarm Advisor application can track caregiver responses and provide proactive suggestions for deploying alarm management strategies. This feature allows for the personalization of alarm thresholds based on the patient's condition.
The MX450 is designed to maximize your hospital's investment in Electronic Medical Records (EMRs). With the optional IntelliVue XDS software, you can view and control the patient monitor remotely while simultaneously accessing the patient's record on the EMR. Additionally, the IntelliBridge EC10 device interfacing on the MX450 and MX500 provides an efficient point of interfacing for ventilators and many other devices at the bedside and during intra-hospital transport. Clinical data from the monitor and other linked bedside devices are combined into a single HL7 message stream, facilitating integration with clinical information systems.
With healthcare becoming a prime target for malicious actors, IntelliVue patient monitors and Philips Information Center IX allow your institution to configure cybersecurity measures such as node authentication, user authentication, user permissions, network data encryption, print report encryption, and device file system encryption. These features ensure the protection of sensitive data and compliance with security and data transfer requirements.
The MX450 can be scaled to cover most critical care monitoring requirements as patient acuity levels change. Both devices support IntelliVue multi-measurement modules (such as the IntelliVue X3 or MMX) and extension modules. The X2 Module also accommodates specialty measurements via up to three single/double-width parameter modules. This flexibility allows the monitor to adapt to the varying needs of different hospital departments and patient acuity levels.
With built-in handles and standard battery operation, this monitor is easy to transport and can withstand the rigors of demanding intra-hospital transport. The optional Philips quick-release mount allows you to unfasten the monitor from a bedside mounting in seconds, securing it to the bed, gurney, or trolley using our optional and lightweight bed hanger mount developed exclusively for the IntelliVue MX series.
The MX450 is engineered with infection control in mind. Its smooth surfaces, minimal seams, and sturdy materials are approved for use with a variety of tested disinfecting agents. Like all IntelliVue monitors, it has no hard drive and uses passive cooling, eliminating fan blades that could accumulate and distribute pathogens, helping in the fight against hospital-acquired infections.
The Philips IntelliVue MX450 is an advanced monitoring solution that combines an intuitive interface, advanced alarm management features, extensive connectivity, and robust design to provide comprehensive and adaptable monitoring in dynamic hospital environments.
