Operating Room Monitoring with the Ultracare SLP100
The Spacelabs Ultracare SLP100 is a monitor designed to meet the demands of perioperative environments. It enables precise monitoring of patients' vital functions through integrated tracking of hemodynamic, respiratory, and ventilatory parameters. Its compact design makes it an ideal ally for operating rooms, where space is often limited.
With its 10.4-inch color LCD screen, the Ultracare SLP100 displays real-time essential data in the form of clear curves and numerical values, even from a distance. It features an intuitive user interface with direct access to main functions, simplifying handling in a hospital setting.
The monitor supports a wide range of vital parameters. It continuously monitors the electrocardiogram (ECG) on three channels, with automatic ST segment analysis, as well as oxygen saturation (SpO₂) with configurable alarms. It also includes a respiratory impedance sensor for real-time evaluation of respiratory rate.
In terms of respiratory gases, the Ultracare SLP100 analyzes CO₂, O₂, and N₂O concentrations directly at the patient's airway, with automatic detection of anesthetic agents. It also includes a spirometry function, essential for monitoring ventilation.
For comprehensive monitoring, the device features two channels of invasive pressure, allowing precise measurement of arterial and venous pressures. It can also integrate a neuromuscular transmission (NMT) option, which assesses muscle response to anesthetic agents using various stimulation modes, such as TOF (Train-of-Four) and PTC (Post Tetanic Count).
The Ultracare SLP100 is designed to adapt to various hospital environments. It can be mounted on a wall, rail, or anesthesia machine arm, ensuring optimal positioning. A three-channel thermal recorder is available as an option to document trends and clinical events.
Its power supply is provided by an integrated battery offering 15 minutes of autonomy, with a full recharge in approximately five hours. It can store graphical trends for 24 hours and transfer patient data via a PCMCIA card for optimal follow-up.
Certified compliant with medical safety standards IEC 60601-1 and bearing the CE marking, this monitor is intended for qualified healthcare professionals in hospital settings. It is indicated for use in patients weighing at least 5 kg, including children over three years old for respiratory impedance measurement.
Thanks to its modularity and reliable performance, the Ultracare SLP100 is a suitable choice for healthcare facilities requiring precise and flexible monitoring equipment in anesthesia and intensive care.
