The monitor features separate modes for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients, ensuring maximum adaptability. In addition to Welch Allyn's classic features, the 300 series offers SureTemp Plus thermometry, providing fast and accurate temperature readings. Pulse oximetry, configurable with Masimo or Nellcor's OxiMax technologies, offers programmable alarms for high/low saturation levels.

The VSM 300 monitor incorporates internal memory to store up to 99 sets of measurement data, facilitating tracking of changes over time. The option to add an integrated thermal printer provides trend analysis and instant record-keeping, enhancing the monitor's practicality in various medical settings.
