LE-9000EX Express: a Laboratory Device Designed for Medical Optics Professionals
The Nidek LE-9000EX Express is a fully automatic edger designed for medical optical laboratories and workshops. This professional grinding device is specially developed to accurately transform ophthalmic lenses according to the tracing data transmitted by an external device. Used in lens manufacturing and fitting, it meets the high quality standards expected in the medical field and guarantees reproducible results, which are essential for patient vision safety. Thanks to its full automation and clear interface, it enables precise work while optimising processing time, a major advantage for high-volume facilities.
Material Versatility and Processing Precision
The LE-9000EX Express supports a wide range of materials, from plastic and polycarbonate to mineral glass, acrylic resin and Trivex. The device offers several bevel modes, including automatic, guided and advanced (EX), allowing the finish to be adapted to the specific requirements of each prescription. The EX Express version stands out with two exclusive features: nylor grooving and beveling with SFB (safety bevel). These options are essential for nylor frames and guarantee perfectly safe edges. The user interface, with its detailed display, allows you to view contours andadjust essential parameters such as pupillary distance, optical centre height and final lens size. These features give the practitioner complete control while ensuring high-precision work.
Productivity, Reliability and Ease of Use
The LE-9000EX Express is not only a precise device, it is also a tool designed to improve daily productivity in laboratories. Its soundproof chamber limits noise levels while protecting against particle and water splashes, improving working comfort. Its integrated water circulation system continuously cleans the chamber and grinding wheels, preventing the accumulation of residues and maintaining optimal cutting quality over time. The device also features a permanent self-test system: in the event of a fault, it stops automatically and displays an error code, enabling quick and safe maintenance. The internal memory can store up to 100 profiles, and the use of an external barcode reader extends this capacity to 500. Its compact and ergonomic design makes it easy to integrate into a laboratory environment, while remaining simple to use on a daily basis.
