The YLS-500 VIXI is a Multispot (featuring a laser impact grid) photocoagulator laser utilizing a yellow wavelength, integrated into a slit lamp, and specifically engineered for treatments like photocoagulation, pan-photocoagulation, trabeculoplasty, and iridotomy. Additionally, it can be equipped with an infra-liminal treatment module, known as the LMP (Low Power Mode).

Efficiency and Stability: The yellow wavelength of the YLC-500 VIXI laser is advantageous, as it is minimally absorbed by the xanthophyll macular pigment. This characteristic allows for a more targeted treatment in the extra-macular region compared to the green wavelength. Despite this, it retains the capability for photocoagulation in new blood vessels and the destruction of ischemic zones in the retina. The use of this color facilitates surgery in cases of cataracts or opaque media due to its reduced diffusion (enhanced penetration) and lower patient discomfort.

Robust Design and Ease of Use: Equipped with a dedicated control panel and an independent interface designed for laser usage, the YLC-500 VIXI is a sturdy product tailored for quick and straightforward operation.

Diverse Operating Modes and Uniform Treatment: In Monospot mode, users can directly configure laser impact parameters from the control panel to optimize treatment variables such as power, exposure time, and impact frequency. In Multispot mode, the YLC-500 VIXI offers 22 point grids with adjustable shape, size, and distance accessible with a single click. Parameter adjustments can also be made using the 3D mouse, featuring 10 customizable buttons based on user preferences. To ensure uniform treatment, various equidistant laser impact patterns (ESP) are available among the 22 provided. The AutoForward mode facilitates the delivery of a series of identical patterns, covering a larger area with automatic laser beam repositioning after each pattern.

Tailor-Made Product: The YLC-500 VIXI prioritizes user-friendliness and customization, offering options to optimize treatment time and enhance usability. This includes the ability to save treatment parameters, point grids, and magnification settings for examination magnifying glasses. As a result, the laser can be tailored to accommodate the preferences and profiles of individual users.

Post-Operation Report and LPM Option: Upon completion of the surgery, a comprehensive report is displayed summarizing the global parameters of the treatment. This report can be saved on a key card, left unsaved, or transferred to a computer via LAN connection. The Low Power Mode (LPM) is an available option for specific models with yellow wavelength and multispot capabilities, such as the YLC-500 VIXI and MC-500 with a 577 nm source. The LPM enables a less aggressive, low-energy, and high-density treatment, minimizing the risk of significant heating of retinal tissues, particularly beneficial for cases of macular edema. It introduces a laser impact matrix designed for this specific application.
