A Reliable Photometer for Precise Laboratory Analysis
The WTW PhotoLab S6 is a measuring instrument designed for the quantitative analysis of components in water and aqueous solutions. It is intended for quality control laboratories, research centers, and water treatment facilities that require precise and reproducible measurements.
This photometer operates in concentration and extinction modes, featuring an intuitive interface for quick selection of analytical methods. Automatic recognition of reagents and cuvettes via barcode simplifies usage and reduces the risk of error. It is equipped with a tungsten filament halogen lamp, pre-set to ensure optimal light stability, and an optical system with six photodiodes that guarantees high precision in wavelength detection.
The PhotoLab S6 also features systematic self-monitoring that checks memory, optics, and data entry upon each startup, ensuring automatic calibration and drift correction. Its measurement range extends from -0.300 E to 3.200 E in extinction and from 0.1% to 1000% in transmission, offering great flexibility.
The device requires no warm-up time and displays results in just two seconds. It includes a real-time clock for timestamping measurements and has an internal memory capable of storing up to 500 values. Power can be supplied via mains or an optional rechargeable battery, providing approximately 40 hours of autonomy for 10 measurements per hour.
Its RS 232 interface allows direct connection to a PC or printer for data export. Analytical method updates can be performed via the internet, ensuring compatibility with the latest chemical testing advancements.
Compact and lightweight, the PhotoLab S6 is easy to install and transport. It complies with EN 61010 and IEC 1010 safety standards and is designed to operate under varying environmental conditions (temperature 5 to 40 °C, humidity up to 95%).
Ideal for laboratory use, the PhotoLab S6 combines precision, reliability, and ease of use, meeting the demands of chemical analysis professionals.
