Description

Precision lighting for demanding applications with the PL 2000 cold light source

The Photonic PL 2000 is a cold light source specially designed to meet the complex needs of professionals working in scientific, industrial and research fields. This device uses fibre optic technology to provide intense, stable lighting that is virtually free of infrared radiation, thus reducing heat build-up at the sample level. Thanks to its sophisticated optical system, the PL 2000 transmits light via glass fibre beams, ensuring uniform and concentrated light distribution, ideal for observations under a stereoscopic microscope or any other workstation requiring maximum precision.

One of the strengths of the PL 2000 is its ability to maintain a quiet, vibration-free working environment. Equipped with a compact, optimised fan, it operates almost silently while ensuring efficient cooling of the unit. This cooling system prevents overheating, preserves the integrity of the internal components and significantly extends the life of the halogen lamp. Thanks to its soft start function, the lamp's voltage rises gradually, limiting current peaks and thermal shocks.

The PL 2000 features electronic brightness control for precise and continuous adjustment of light intensity, with a "turbo" option to temporarily increase light output as required. This flexibility makes it highly adaptable to different experimental situations, whether observing reflective, translucent or textured surfaces. The integrated heat filter, combined with the option of inserting easily replaceable side filters, allows the colour temperature to be modulated and the light structured according to the application.

Ergonomic and stackable, the PL 2000 fits easily into environments where space is limited. Its compact design and fire-retardant plastic housing ensure safety and ease of handling. Direct access to the lamp facilitates tool-free replacement, reducing interruptions to work. The PL 2000 is also fully compatible with all light guides, light rings, line converters and other accessories developed by Photonic, offering a modular, reliable and complete lighting solution for all microscopy applications.
