KLAROMED plusLED 96 / 56 Combined Surgical Light – A high-performance solution for demanding operating theatres
The KLAROMED plusLED 96 / 56 combined surgical light is designed to meet the complex needs of modern surgery. It combines the performance of two separate modules – the plusLED 96 and the plusLED 56 – to provide optimal light coverage across the entire operating field. This combination ensures even light distribution, eliminating shadow areas and guaranteeing perfect visibility, even during the most delicate procedures.
The plusLED 96 model uses 96 fifth-generation white LEDs, while the plusLED 56 incorporates 56. Each LED generates its own light source, which is then reflected by multi-faceted reflectors to create a uniform light field. This technology ensures deep light penetration into tissue, facilitating the identification of anatomical structures and improving surgical precision.
The colour rendering index Ra of 96 and the R9 (red) index of 96 ensure accurate colour reproduction, which is essential for distinguishing subtle tissue shades. The colour temperature of 4,900 K provides warm white light that is easy on the eyes and reduces visual fatigue during long procedures.
The compact, aerodynamic design of the lamp heads promotes smooth airflow in laminar flow rooms without creating turbulence. The lightweight aluminium alloy housing ensures impact resistance and a long service life. Heat dissipation is directed towards the ceiling, minimising heat emission towards the surgeon and improving working comfort.
The integrated sterile handles allow the surgeon to adjust the light intensity and diameter of the operating field without compromising sterility. The non-sterile handles, which are monolithic with the lamp body, facilitate cleaning and enhance hygiene.
The plusLED 96 / 56 lamp can be equipped with dual-camera video systems (HD and SD) with real-time recording and transmission, as well as a touchscreen control system. These features are ideal for training, documentation and remote consultations.
The system's modularity allows integration with flat monitors, articulated arms and various accessories, offering a customised solution tailored to the specific needs of each surgical team.
