POLAPHOR® HD – Vision testing system
The POLAPHOR® HD from Block Optic is a comprehensive and innovative system dedicated to visual acuity testing, designed to meet the demanding needs of opticians and ophthalmologists. Manufactured in Germany to DIN ISO 9001 quality standards, this device consists of a high-definition flat screen coupled with a high-performance integrated computer, ensuring exceptional flexibility in the conduct of visual examinations.
The POLAPHOR® HD offers a wide range of monocular and binocular tests, with clear and dynamic presentation on the screen. The tests include polarised selections, Ishihara tests (24 plates optional) and various customisable modules. It allows optotypes to be displayed on a visible surface measuring approximately 531 x 298 mm, with logarithmic, decimal or individual acuity levels adjustable between 0.05 and 2.0.
Thanks to its adaptable polarisation, the device allows linear (45°/135°) or circular orientation, facilitating accurate binocular examinations. The POLAPHOR® HD supports the display of Landolt rings in accordance with EN ISO 8596 and DIN 58220-3 standards, ensuring standardised assessment in line with European medical requirements.
The device is intuitively operated via the dedicated touchscreen tablet or the "PhorControl" mobile app, allowing practitioners to easily navigate between tests and adjust settings without interrupting the examination process. The quick transition between test fields and silent operation optimise comfort for both practitioner and patient.
The system also features a random sequence generator, preventing patients from memorising responses during repeated examinations. The interface is multilingual, suitable for international and multicultural environments.
In terms of installation, the POLAPHOR® HD is designed for wall mounting, but a table stand is also available as an option. It operates on a 230 V / 50 Hz power supply, with dimensions of 642 x 440 x 235 mm (including wall bracket) and a weight of approximately 14 kg.
This versatile and modular device offers numerous extensions and accessories to enhance its functionality: additional test modules, alternative supports, polarising filters, and more. All these elements are designed to improve the efficiency, accuracy and customisation of visual tests in clinical environments.
