A key advantage of the Retinomax 5 is its ability to automatically detect its level, ensuring accurate measurements in all circumstances. When the patient's pupil is narrower, the device automatically adjusts its brightness to ensure optimal comfort during the examination. Additionally, if the patient accommodates quickly, the device automatically accelerates the measurement process, ensuring even more reliable results.

The Retinomax 5 also offers a new "Child Mode" feature specifically designed to keep children engaged during the examination. Elements such as continuous melody and changing colors displayed inside and outside the device contribute to making the refraction experience more engaging for young patients.

The addition of the observation viewfinder provides great flexibility, with adjustable correction up to +/-8D. Furthermore, the angle of the viewfinder arm is adjustable from 0 to 135 degrees, greatly facilitating measurement regardless of the patient's position or posture.
