Cond 3110 WTW – Reliable and accurate conductivity meter
The Cond 3110 from WTW is a portable conductivity meter designed to meet the needs of professionals in laboratories, industrial sites or outdoor environments. It reliably measures conductivity, salinity and temperature, providing a comprehensive tool for monitoring the quality of water and aqueous solutions. Its ergonomic and compact design ensures easy handling, even during long measurement sessions. Equipped with a robust housing that complies with the IP67 standard, it is resistant to moisture, dust and harsh field conditions.
The device offers an AutoRead function that automatically evaluates the stability of the measurement, ensuring reproducible results and minimising errors due to temporary variations. Temperature compensation is managed in accordance with DIN 38404 / EN 27 888, ensuring optimum accuracy for samples at varying temperatures. The Cond 3110 is compatible with various conductivity probes with or without a temperature sensor, which it recognises automatically.
Easy calibration and adaptability to requirements
One of the major advantages of the Cond 3110 is its ability to calibrate the cell constant to compensate for effects related to probe ageing. It allows automatic calibration in a standard 0.01 mol/L KCl solution for conductivity cells in the ranges 0.450–0.500 cm⁻¹ or 0.800–0.880 cm⁻¹, or precise manual adjustment. The user can also select a fixed constant of 0.475 cm⁻¹.
It has an intuitive configuration menu: it allows you to adjust the reference temperature (20 °C or 25 °C), the temperature unit (°C or °F) and the recommended cell cleaning interval. The clear display provides all essential information, including real-time measurement, temperature, stability indicator, and battery status. An automatic shut-off function extends battery life.
Designed for durability and long-term accuracy
The Cond 3110 is designed to deliver consistent performance over the long term. With a battery life of up to approximately 1000 hours on four AA batteries, it ensures extended measurement campaigns without interruption. Maintenance is limited to replacing the batteries and periodically cleaning the probe, in accordance with the interval set by the user.
Measurements have a high resolution: from 0.1 µS/cm to 1 mS/cm depending on the scale, with an accuracy of ± 0.5%. Salinity is measured over a range of 0.0 to 70.0 according to the IOT table, with an accuracy of up to ± 0.1. The associated temperature sensor offers an accuracy of ± 0.1 °C. All these features make it a reliable instrument for drinking water control, environmental monitoring, aquaculture and scientific research applications.
