BO: Polypropylene biological safety cabinet – Optimal protection for the laboratory
The BO series from TopAir combines Class II A2 microbiological safety cabinets offering a high level of protection against biological hazards. Designed to meet the strict requirements of research, diagnostic and pathogen handling environments, these devices simultaneously ensure the safety of personnel, the samples being handled and the immediate environment.
The structure of each model is made of welded polypropylene, a material known for its chemical resistance and ease of cleaning, while being corrosion-resistant. The interior is completed by a 304 stainless steel work surface and an integrated drip tray. The side walls are made of tempered glass, which improves visibility without compromising safety.
The filtration system is based on two HEPA H14 filters guaranteeing 99.9995% efficiency at 0.3 µm. The air is distributed according to a precise pattern: 70% recirculation in a downward laminar flow and 30% exhaust air, ensuring an environment that complies with ISO 5 / Class 100. The downward air flow is maintained at 0.45 m/s and the air intake at 0.5 m/s, providing an optimal balance between protection and user comfort.
The essential functions are controlled centrally via an intuitive touch screen. This control panel displays maintenance alarms and technical faults, while managing timers, counters and the night-time economy mode. The system is also equipped with a sealed germicidal UV lamp and a safety lock mechanism, as well as an electrically adjustable double-layer front glass panel.
All models are equipped with an energy-efficient EC motor, LED lighting reaching 800 lux, and are CE certified according to EN 12469. The noise level remains below 60 dB, even for the largest model. Thanks to these features, the BO series is ideal for laboratories requiring performance, durability and safety.
