Eppendorf ThermoStat plus: High-Precision Temperature Control for Your Samples
The Eppendorf ThermoStat plus is a benchtop static thermostat designed to meet the temperature control needs of liquid samples in research and analytical laboratories. Ideal for use in molecular biology, biochemistry, and clinical lab environments, this device ensures precise maintenance or modification of sample temperatures.
With a temperature range from –5 °C to +99 °C, the ThermoStat plus supports a variety of applications such as enzyme incubation, protein denaturation, or polymerase chain reactions (PCR). It operates in a simple thermostating mode or a programmable mode with up to 4 steps, allowing independent adjustment of temperature and duration for each phase. It also supports programmed temperature shifts for smooth and controlled protocol transitions.
Compatible with a wide range of interchangeable thermoblocks, the ThermoStat plus accommodates various tube sizes (0.5 mL to 50 mL) and plates (MTP, Deepwell, PCR, etc.), providing maximum flexibility based on sample type and experimental protocols.
The optional IsoTherm system allows consistent cooling of samples for several hours, ensuring optimal heat transfer via accessories such as IsoRack, IsoPack, IsoSafe, or PCR-Cooler. This system is especially useful for maintaining cold temperatures on the benchtop during sensitive procedures.
The device features an RS232 interface, a clear display screen, and an intuitive control panel for easy parameter adjustments. It offers thermal precision of ±0.5 °C at 37 °C and heating rates up to 5 °C/min.
Designed for safe use in laboratory settings, the ThermoStat plus incorporates multiple safety mechanisms to protect users from burns, contamination, or electrical hazards. Its compact design (220 x 250 x 125 mm) and light weight (5 kg) allow easy integration into any lab bench setup.
