An optimal choice for demanding laboratories.

Description

PURELAB Classic: an economical solution for Type I ultrapure water

Elga's PURELAB Classic is a laboratory water purification system designed to meet the most demanding requirements of analytical, biotechnology, chemical and life science laboratories. It provides Type I ultrapure water that complies with the most stringent standards, with a resistance of 18.2 MΩ-cm and a total organic carbon (TOC) content as low as 1 to 3 ppb for models with a UV lamp. This system guarantees exceptional purity, suitable for the most sensitive applications, such as high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), spectroscopy, cellular or molecular analysis, and reagent preparation.

The PURELAB Classic range is available in several versions – DI, UV, UF and UVF – to meet different requirements. Models with ultrafiltration remove RNase, DNase and bacterial endotoxins, making them ideal for molecular biology applications. The addition of a dual-wavelength UV lamp (185/254 nm) significantly reduces TOC and improves microbiological performance by minimising bacterial growth. In addition, integrated automatic intermittent recirculation prevents temperature rise, thereby limiting microbial growth in the system.

The modular design of the PURELAB Classic makes it easy to adapt to the growing needs of laboratories. The system can be easily upgraded from a single purification module to a dual-module configuration, extending cartridge life and reducing operating costs. In addition, the system is designed for easy maintenance: it incorporates fast-rinse ultrafiltration for quick and efficient maintenance, reducing service interruptions.

With its small footprint, stable performance and ease of use, the PURELAB Classic is a wise investment. It can be fed with water pre-treated by reverse osmosis, distillation or deionisation, ensuring optimum efficiency. All parts in contact with water can be completely disinfected, ensuring optimum microbiological performance over the long term.

Thanks to its high-quality components, low energy consumption and long service life, the PURELAB Classic offers an excellent return on investment, both in terms of purchase cost and total cost of ownership. It is the benchmark solution for laboratories requiring ultra-pure, reliable and economical water.
