QuantGene 9600 thermocycler: precision and performance for real-time PCR
The QuantGene 9600 from Bioer is a real-time quantitative PCR instrument designed to meet the strict requirements of research and medical biology laboratories. Building on the standards of the LineGene range, this model is based on proven thermoelectric cooling technology and an optical architecture designed to maximise fluorescent signal quality while ensuring precise and uniform temperature control.
At the heart of the system is a module with six independent temperature zones, ensuring optimal thermal homogeneity across all 96 wells. Each zone is managed independently, allowing thermal cycles to be accelerated without compromising accuracy. The temperature rise rate reaches 6°C per second, while the cooling rate is 5.5°C per second. These performance levels are combined with temperature control accurate to ±0.1°C and uniformity of ±0.3°C, ensuring reliable results even during complex analyses.
The optical detection system is based on a new flat-field light source and independent filter wheels for excitation and detection, enabling multi-parameter experiments without channel expansion. This configuration ensures high signal intensity while reducing light loss and detection differences between wells. A centralised optical beam minimises reading errors at the edges of the plate.
The device also features a smart heating lid that automatically adapts to different tube formats, preventing reagent evaporation. The automatic opening sampler facilitates daily handling and improves the ergonomics of the workstation.
The software, accessible via a large touchscreen or a dedicated mobile app, offers a clear and modern interface. It allows real-time monitoring, comprehensive analyses and detailed report exports. All experimental parameters can be saved, simplifying repetitive analysis series. The software requires no gain adjustment, which enhances the reproducibility of experiments.
