Reference® 2 Multichannel Pipettes – Efficiency and Consistency for your Pipetting Series
The Eppendorf Reference® 2 multichannel series is specially designed to meet the growing productivity needs of laboratories handling large sample series. These pipettes are available in 8- or 12-channel versions, with variable volumes depending on the model, and are perfectly suited to 96- or 384-well plate formats. They enable precise, fast and reproducible simultaneous pipetting, while reducing handling time and user fatigue.
Thanks to its air cushion pipetting mechanism, each channel delivers uniform distribution regardless of the number of samples being processed. The push button centralises the volume adjustment, aspiration, dispensing and tip ejection functions. It is designed for comfortable handling, even during prolonged use. The balanced structure of the device, combined with a pressure switch (spring on/off), allows the intensity required for tip attachment to be adjusted according to user preferences or the type of task.
The modular design of the Reference® 2 pipettes allows for quick disassembly of the multichannel block for easy maintenance or replacement of components. The materials used (PVDF, polypropylene, stainless steel, etc.) have been selected for their resistance to aggressive chemicals, while maintaining the light weight of the device.
To meet the requirements of sterile or regulated environments, these pipettes are fully autoclavable (121°C for 20 minutes) and compatible with UV sterilisation. Each model is colour-coded to indicate the volume range for immediate recognition in the laboratory. Compatibility with epT.I.P.S. tips ensures optimal sealing, which is essential to prevent volume variation, particularly with low volumes or critical samples.
Reference® 2 multichannel pipettes are used in many fields such as molecular biology, biomedical research, diagnostics and high-throughput screening. They are ideal for dilution steps, reagent distribution or sample transfer in repetitive protocols.
By choosing this range, laboratories benefit from a reliable, flexible tool designed to maintain a high level of accuracy, even in high-throughput environments.
