5415 R: a Compact Centrifuge Suitable for Medical Applications
The Eppendorf 5415 R is a benchtop refrigerated centrifuge designed to meet the requirements of clinical, molecular biology and biochemistry laboratories. Its compact size allows for easy integration into a workbench, while offering processing capacities suitable for daily use. It accommodates up to 24 microcentrifuge tubes of 1.5/2.0 ml or 36 tubes of 0.5 ml, with a fixed 45° rotor ensuring optimal separation of biological components.
Centrifugation Performance and Precise Temperature Control
With a maximum speed of 13,200 rpm (16,100 rcf), the 5415 R ensures fast and efficient cycles for various applications, such as DNA/RNA preparation, cell lysate clarification or blood component separation. Its integrated refrigeration function maintains sample temperatures between 0°C and +40°C, which is essential for preserving the stability of temperature-sensitive samples. Fast TEMP mode accelerates cooling, reaching 4°C in less than 16 minutes. A temperature maintenance system is also available when the lid remains closed after the cycle has ended.
Intuitive Operation and Enhanced Safety
The 5415 R interface is simple and effective: a digital display allows you to view and adjust speed, time and temperature settings. Functions such as parameter lock,short spin and start at set rpm optimise daily work. For operator safety, the rotor must always be correctly secured, the load balanced and the accessories free from corrosion or damage.
