RENASYS GO Negative Pressure Wound Therapy System - Fair Condition

Smith & Nephew's RENASYS™ GO is a portable negative pressure therapy (NPT) device designed to promote the healing of chronic or acute wounds. It draws out exudate and pathogens while improving local blood perfusion. Compact, quiet and easy to use, it is suitable for both hospital and home use. With up to 20 hours of battery life and smart alarms, it ensures continuous treatment in complete safety. This system is compatible with Smith & Nephew dressings and canisters only.

Description

RENASYS™ GO – The mobile and intelligent ally for negative pressure wound therapy

The RENASYS™ GO system from Smith & Nephew represents a new generation of medical devices dedicated to the treatment of complex wounds. Designed for use at home or in a hospital setting, it provides healthcare professionals and patients with an effective, discreet and safe negative pressure therapy solution. This treatment is recognised for accelerating healing by actively drawing fluid from the wound, thereby limiting bacterial growth while promoting local blood circulation.

Powered by a silent motor and a high-performance internal battery, RENASYS™ GO can be used continuously for 20 hours without being connected to a power outlet. It also features an intuitive display that clearly indicates the therapy mode used — continuous or intermittent — and the level of negative pressure applied. As soon as it is switched on, the device generates regulated negative pressure that acts continuously on the treated area, ensuring constant drainage of exudates into a sealed 300 or 750 ml cartridge.

The system is prescribed for a wide variety of wounds, including diabetic ulcers, pressure ulcers, superficial burns, post-surgical wounds, traumatic wounds, and grafts and flaps. However, it is contraindicated in the presence of untreated osteomyelitis, exposed anatomical structures (nerves, arteries, organs), necrosis with eschar, or unexplored fistulas. Proper use of RENASYS™ GO requires supervision by a healthcare professional, both for device installation and wound monitoring during treatment.

In terms of comfort and mobility, this device has been designed to adapt to the patient's daily life. Lightweight and portable with adjustable straps or a carrying case, it allows the patient to move freely while continuing treatment. In the event of leakage, abnormal pressure or low battery, visual and audible alarms are triggered to warn the user and avoid any risk.

Changing the dressings, usually two to three times a week, remains a key step in the treatment protocol and should only be carried out by a professional. The canister can be replaced quickly, hygienically and safely, in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations. The device can be cleaned with a diluted bleach solution, ensuring optimal hygiene without affecting its performance.

RENASYS™ GO is not just a high-performance device: it is a trusted partner in the healing process. Designed to fit into complex care pathways, it stands out for its ease of use, reliability and adaptation to modern clinical requirements. It offers powerful therapy while ensuring safety, autonomy and comfort for the patient, in complete discretion.
