S/5 FM Multi-Parameter Patient Monitor - Good Condition

The S/5 FM multiparameter monitor from  General Electric HealthCare (Datex-Ohmeda) is a monitoring device designed for demanding clinical environments. It enables continuous monitoring of adult, paediatric and neonatal patients thanks to an intuitive interface and modular architecture. It measures haemodynamic, respiratory and metabolic parameters such as ECG, SpO₂, NIBP, temperature, invasive pressures and exhaled gases (CO₂). With wired or wireless network connectivity, battery backup and compatibility with numerous modules, the S/5 FM offers reliable monitoring that can be configured to meet clinical needs.

Description

The S/5 FM Patient Monitor: a modular and intuitive solution for comprehensive vital sign monitoring

The S/5 FM Monitor from General Electric HealthCare is a solution designed to meet the most complex monitoring needs in intensive care, operating theatres, emergency rooms and post-operative care units. With its open, modular architecture, this monitor measures, records and displays all of a patient's vital parameters in real time, regardless of their age or clinical condition.

Thanks to its simplified navigation via the ComWheel and dedicated control keys, the S/5 FM is quick and easy to use. The high-resolution colour screen is fully customisable, with the ability to display up to six waveforms simultaneously, digital fields, mini-trends, graphical trends and specific pages depending on the type of patient. Several predefined user modes (Paediatrics, Resuscitation, Emergency, etc.) facilitate configuration and ensure immediate adaptation to the clinical context. The interface is designed for maximum ergonomics, with smooth responsiveness and quick access to critical data, saving valuable time in medical decision-making.

The system's robustness is also based on its dual power supply (mains and hot-swap lithium-ion batteries), ensuring continuity of monitoring even during transport or power outages. The S/5 FM supports a wide range of measurement modules: the E-PSM module for standard parameters (NIBP, SpO₂, ECG, temperature) and the E-PSMP to include two invasive pressure channels. Expansion modules also allow CO₂ measurement and graphical recording to be added via the N-FCREC module. This makes it possible to tailor the configuration to the specific needs of the department without overloading the workstation.

Another major advantage is its S/5 network connectivity (wired or optional wireless N-FMW), which enables data transfer between workstations, control via S/5 iCentral, and storage and analysis of trends for up to 72 hours. The Data or Menu card allows data to be exported or the monitor to be reconfigured according to the institution's standards. All data is encrypted and secure, ensuring patient confidentiality.

The S/5 FM combines performance, safety and  customisation, while offering a high level of clinical reliability, excellent data readability and full compatibility with the GE HealthCare hospital ecosystem. It is an essential ally for optimal patient care, from admission to discharge, while integrating easily into existing infrastructures.
