AvantGuard 1200: A high-performance electric hospital bed designed for patient comfort and caregiver efficiency
The AvantGuard 1200 from HillRom is an electric medical bed designed to meet the needs of healthcare facilities, particularly in acute care, post-operative and general medicine departments . Combining cutting-edge technology, ergonomics and safety, this model is part of an approach to optimise care and reduce risks for both patients and healthcare staff.
One of the key features of the AvantGuard 1200 is its ability to integrate electrical functions, accessible via centralised controls. Using an ergonomic remote control, a flexible control arm or bilateral HiLow pedals, users can adjust the height of the bed, the head, thigh and foot sections, and activate the Trendelenburg and emergency positions. The maximum head inclination is +65°, the thighs +36° and the feet -23°, offering exceptional flexibility to adapt the patient's positioning to their clinical needs.
Patient comfort is also ensured by the four-section rigid sleeping platform, three of which are removable for easy cleaning. The bed is compatible with standard mattresses (195–200 cm x 83–90 cm) and can accommodate specialised devices such as motorised air mattresses.
Safety is at the heart of the AvantGuard 1200's design. The TotalGuard™ integrated barrier system prevents falls, while the control lock function prevents accidental or inappropriate manipulation. The centralised braking system, accessible via a foot pedal, allows for quick and safe locking of the equipment, complemented by an optional fifth steering wheel for improved manoeuvrability in hospital corridors.
Finally, the bed can be customised to meet the needs of each facility. It is compatible with a wide range of accessories (jaws, oxygen bottle holder, patient support bars, foot extension, etc.) and offers different head and footboard models (polypropylene, wood, Medispace™, etc.).
The AvantGuard 1200 from HillRom is a comprehensive, scalable and reliable solution for facilities committed to providing their teams and patients with an optimal care environment.
