Senographe Pristina 3D: Mammography reinvented for women
The SenoGraph Pristina 3D is much more than a mammography system: it is a revolution in women's healthcare. Designed by GE Healthcare, this device combines technology, ergonomics and patient comfort to offer an unrivalled mammography experience.
Designed to meet the needs of radiologists, technicians and, above all, patients, the Pristina 3D incorporates digital tomosynthesis, which takes a series of low-dose projections around the compressed breast. These images are then reconstructed electronically to create a complete three-dimensional view, separating tissues and reducing overlap, which often causes false positives or uncertain diagnoses.
One of the major advantages of the Pristina 3D is its patient-assisted compression device (PAC), marketed under the name Pristina Dueta. This innovative system allows the patient to actively participate in the examination, reducing anxiety and perceived pain. The technician retains full control, ensuring image safety and quality.
On the technology side, the Pristina 3D is equipped with a high-resolution 100-micron detector, an Artemis X-ray tube with dual-track anode (molybdenum and rhodium), and an ASIR DBT reconstruction system for optimal image quality. It also offers 3D+2D mode, allowing a 3D sequence and a 2D image to be acquired simultaneously without releasing compression.
The user interface has been completely redesigned for easier positioning, with motorised movements, intuitive presets and an ergonomic console. The system is compatible with DICOM protocols and PACS databases, and offers seamless connectivity for quality analysis, printing and storage.
The Pristina 3D is scalable: it can be equipped with the SenoBright HD option for contrast-enhanced spectral mammography, ideal for locating suspicious lesions after ultrasound or conventional mammography.
The Senographe Pristina 3D is a comprehensive, reliable and patient-centred solution that redefines the standards of modern mammography.
