The Cole-Parmer SF1 vial shaker is a mixing device designed for laboratory applications requiring vigorous, consistent and reliable shaking. The SF1 consists of two side arms, each equipped with four clamps for holding vials or bottles with a maximum volume of 500 ml. For larger requirements, Cole-Parmer offers additional side arms that extend the capacity of the device to up to twelve bottles. The entire system rests on a robust 780 mm wide platform, ensuring good load distribution and high stability even at full speed.
The adjustable speed range of 80 to 800 oscillations per minute allows the device to be adapted to different types of mixtures, whether delicate or more intense. This speed is controlled via a dedicated button equipped with a soft start function to prevent splashing at start-up. The motor maintains a constant speed regardless of the load, ensuring reproducible results.
The built-in timer allows you to program shaking cycles from 10 to 60 minutes. The device can also operate in continuous mode for long-term experiments. An orange LED indicates when the unit is in operation, and the backlit main switch allows for simple and direct control.
In terms of safety, the SF1 is designed for indoor use only, in well-ventilated environments and at ambient temperatures between +5°C and +40°C. It complies with current European standards (CE) and has a standard level of protection against overvoltage and pollution for a laboratory environment.
Its compact size (780 x 270 x 240 mm) and weight of 8.3 kg make it easy to install on a workbench. Maintenance is kept to a minimum: periodic cleaning with a damp cloth and mild detergent is sufficient to keep the unit in good working order.
