Memmert SF55 – High-performance hot air steriliser for laboratories
The Memmert SF55 is a hot air steriliser designed to meet the high demands of laboratories and healthcare facilities. Its main function is to reliably sterilise instruments, glassware, textiles and other materials in strict compliance with the standards and regulations applicable to medical devices. Unlike simple disinfection, sterilisation carried out by the SF55 completely eliminates microorganisms, thus ensuring maximum safety during handling and experiments.
One of the major advantages of the SF55 is its Setpoint Wait system, which ensures that the sterilisation process only starts once the target temperature has been reached. This precise control can also be carried out using Pt100 probes that can be positioned anywhere in the chamber, ensuring that the set temperature is reached at all points before the timer starts. This technology maintains constant and uniform sterilisation conditions, preventing cold spots in the chamber.
The SF55 is regulated by a multifunctional digital PID controller with a high-definition TFT colour display, integrated into the ControlCOCKPIT SingleDISPLAY interface. This system provides easy access to all settings: temperature, fan speed, air flap position, programme duration and time parameters. The user can therefore configure the cycles precisely according to their needs, whether for everyday use or for specific protocols.
The SF55 features a silent air turbine ventilation system, adjustable in 10% increments. Fresh air is preheated and introduced in a controlled manner by an electronic flap, ensuring optimal and uniform circulation of warm air in the chamber. Extraction is facilitated by a vent equipped with a restriction flap, contributing to effective control of the internal atmosphere.
Its stainless steel construction, both inside and out, guarantees exceptional durability and easy maintenance. The interior, reinforced by deep drawing and equipped with an integrated heating system on four sides, ensures perfect heat distribution. The 53-litre chamber can accommodate up to four levels with a total load capacity of 80 kg, or 20 kg per level. The insulated door with two-point closure ensures excellent thermal insulation.
In terms of safety, the SF55 is equipped with an electronic overheating control system and a mechanical temperature limiter in accordance with DIN 12880. In the event of a fault, an integrated self-diagnostic system quickly detects and analyses the causes.
The SF55 is also compatible with AtmoCONTROL software, which allows the data from the internal recorder to be read, managed and organised via an Ethernet interface. A USB stick containing this software is available as an option. Even in the event of a power failure, the current programme is stored, ensuring continuity of operation as soon as power is restored.
