Sigma 1-14 Microcentrifuge – Compact performance for demanding laboratories
The Sigma 1-14 is the most compact centrifuge in its class, designed to meet the needs of laboratories for fast and efficient separation. With a maximum speed of 14,800 rpm and a relative centrifugal force (RCF) of up to 16,163 x g, it offers remarkable performance in a small footprint. Its maximum capacity of 24 x 2 ml tubes allows a large number of samples to be processed simultaneously, while maintaining a minimal footprint.
Thanks to its maintenance-free motor and motorised lid lock, the Sigma 1-14 guarantees simple and safe operation. Its clear display and large function keys make navigation and programming easy. It is equipped with the Spincontrol Basic controller, which allows intuitive management of operating parameters, with optimised acceleration and braking curves to prevent mixing of sensitive samples.
German technology for precision
Manufactured in accordance with the latest national and international standards (EN 61010-2-020), the Sigma 1-14 embodies German quality in its design and manufacture. It is particularly suitable for microbiology applications such as DNA, RNA and protein isolation, as well as for clinical chemistry and university research laboratories.
Its low noise level (≤ 54 dB(A) with the 12094 rotor) allows for comfortable use even in noise-sensitive environments. The integrated window in the lid allows external monitoring of the speed, enhancing process quality control.
Versatility and compatibility with a wide range of accessories
The Sigma 1-14 is compatible with a wide selection of fixed rotors and accessories, allowing adaptation to various types of tubes (from 0.2 to 2 ml), including paediatric tubes and centrifuge column kits. Polypropylene rotors offer excellent chemical resistance, while aluminium rotors are recommended for better thermal conductivity.
