The Gilson PIPETMAN Classic P20 pipette is a single-channel, air displacement, variable volume model designed to meet the requirements of healthcare professionals, hospital laboratories and biomedical researchers. With a volume range from 2 µL to 20 µL, it stands out for its ability to deliver very small quantities of liquid with remarkable reliability.
The adjustment system is particularly smooth thanks to a precision dial or push button, with a red digital display for easy reading of the selected volume. This system ensures rigorous control, which is essential in medical contexts where there is virtually no margin for error.
The use of PIPETMAN DIAMOND tips is strongly recommended. Made from virgin polypropylene, they guarantee perfect sealing and prevent inappropriate reuse. The design of the P20 also allows for secure tip attachment and a manual ejector for removal without contact with the liquid used. Pre-rinsing is recommended to optimise accuracy, particularly with protein solutions or solvents.
Compliant with ISO 8655, each unit comes with a certificate of conformity and an engraved serial number to ensure traceability. The immersion depth is calibrated to 2–3 mm, with a waiting time of 1 second, specifically recommended to ensure complete aspiration.
Maintenance is simple: certain parts such as the tip, ejector and seals can be removed without tools. Cleaning can be carried out externally (with a soft cloth), internally (by dismantling) and by partial autoclaving (ejector, tip, union nut). No lubricant should be used to maintain original performance.
