Description

RO 4000 - Reliable and Cost-Effective Technology for Optimal Ophthalmic Examination

The RO 4000, developed by Rodenstock, embodies cutting-edge slit lamp technology, combining ergonomics, precision, and reliability. Designed to meet the needs of ophthalmologists, the RO 4000 features advanced functionalities that facilitate detailed eye examinations while providing remarkable user comfort.

Reliable Stereoscopic Microscope

The RO 4000 is equipped with a high-quality stereoscopic microscope, offering a selection of three to five magnification levels. This flexibility allows healthcare professionals to choose the appropriate level of detail for each examination. The ocular system can be adapted to the user's visual needs, with options for either parallel or convergent ocular systems. This adaptability is essential for ensuring optimal visual comfort, even for glasses wearers. Additionally, the RO 4000 supports the easy integration of discreet fluorescent filters and/or the VideoMed 300 module, which are positioned between the slit lamp body and the ocular tube. An option for a tonometer mount is also available, adding valuable functionality for intraocular pressure measurements.

Unique Features

The RO 4000 stands out with its standard base designed for one-hand operation, ensuring effective control of the instrument. This ergonomic design allows for highly precise examinations while minimizing the physical effort required from the user. The variable illumination, controlled by an integrated regulator, ensures optimal brightness for different types of examinations. Horizontal movement and height adjustment are easily monitored and adjusted, providing great precision and flexibility during exams. These features enable smooth and quick handling of the instrument, optimizing workflow in a clinical setting.

Powerful Slit Projector

The RO 4000's slit projector offers high illumination with consistent luminance, essential for obtaining clear and sharp images. Variable slit widths from 1.5 to 8 mm and from 2 to 12 mm, with high light output, allow for easy adaptation according to the specific needs of the examination. The slit images are sharp, from the anterior surface of the cornea to the posterior surface of the lens. This capability to provide detailed and accurate images is crucial for effective diagnosis. Integrated filters (blue fluorescence, red-free green, and gray) and the rotating prism head add to the versatility of the device, allowing for a variety of detailed examinations and analyses.

Ergonomic Features

The RO 4000's operating controls are efficiently arranged, with short travel paths that facilitate user work. Adjustments for slit width, height, rotation, illumination, and filters are easily accessible. The system is designed to be ambidextrous, accommodating both right- and left-handed users, further enhancing its ergonomics and ease of use. This logical and practical arrangement of controls helps reduce fatigue and increase examination efficiency, ensuring an optimal experience for both the user and the patient.

Technical Specifications

The RO 4000 boasts impressive technical specifications, including a 6 V / 20 W halogen lamp, slit widths ranging from 0 to 12 mm, and slit lengths from 2.25 to 12 mm. The slit rotation system offers 0 to 360° rotation, providing maximum flexibility in image orientation. The free working distance is 76 mm, with an average ocular height of 375 mm, ensuring comfortable visualization. These technical specifications ensure that the RO 4000 can meet the most demanding needs of visual health professionals while providing reliable and consistent performance.
