The halogen lighting system of the 6V-20W bulb ensures luminous stability even in extreme temperature conditions. The tiltable lighting unit allows for vertical projection of the light slit over a 20' field, with 5' adjustments. This feature proves particularly useful for horizontal observation, gonioscopic examination, and posterior pole examination.
The SL-980 ZOOM slit lamp is equipped with an integrated yellow filter to facilitate fluorescein examinations. This filter is directly incorporated into the microscope and can be easily raised using a lever, thereby enhancing the system's efficiency.
A comprehensive video system is available, including a digital micro camera, an analog monitor, a video recorder, and a color printer. The optional micro camera enables interference-free capturing alongside observation eyepieces, ensuring perfect synchronization with the slit lamp manipulation by the operator and optimizing the overall system's luminous output.
The SL-980 ZOOM slit lamp is also furnished with a removable optical divider. This system splits the microscope's optical image, allocating 50% to the video camera and 50% to the operator's eyepieces. Different versions are available to suit various setups, such as a single output for a Panasonic camera, a single output for a standard C-type video camera, a single output for other video cameras (requiring an adapter/joint), and a dual output. These systems easily adapt to zoom and Galilean-type microscopes.
The SL-980 ZOOM version feature continuous magnification from 6x to 33x, providing high-contrast, bright, and clear images thanks to the multi-coated anti-reflective treatment of the optical system. All accessories of the Galilean-type microscope can be used.
