Description

SL-9800 (Z) LED Slit Lamp: Precise Observation for Comprehensive Eye Examination and Clinical Imaging

An Essential Tool for Clinical Practice

The SL-9800 (Z) LED slit lamp, optimally integrated with CSO consultation units, represents a significant advancement in ophthalmology. Designed for detailed observation of the eye and its adnexa, this Zeiss-type slit lamp is LED illuminated from below. Its innovative design enables comprehensive examination of the anterior segment (cornea, anterior chamber, and lens) to the posterior segment (vitreous and retina). This device is particularly suited for daily use, offering ease of operation without compromising on precision and quality of clinical observations.

Advanced Optical System for Precise Observation

The SL-9800 biomicroscope is equipped with a Galilean optical system featuring 6° convergent binoculars, ensuring stable and natural observation. The high-precision mechanical parts provide optimal comfort during consultations, preventing any temperature elevation due to the LED light source. This advanced technology maintains consistent and comfortable visualization, essential for prolonged and detailed eye examinations.

Variety of Magnifications for Fine Analysis of Ocular Structures

The SL-9800 offers a classic barrel magnification model with five different magnification levels (6x, 10x, 16x, 25x, and 40x). This range of magnifications allows clinicians to perform fine and detailed observations of ocular structures. The maximum slit width and height of 14 mm ensure complete coverage of the anterior part of the eye, regardless of the patient's morphology. This guarantees thorough observation, necessary for precise and comprehensive diagnosis.

Accessible Filters for Specific Examinations

The SL-9800 slit lamp is equipped with various easily accessible filters, optimizing specific examinations. Among these filters, the yellow filter is indispensable for fluorescein examinations, allowing visualization of corneal and vascular anomalies. Additionally, the red-free filter is crucial for visualizing blood vessels, offering increased clarity and precision during observations. These features make the SL-9800 versatile and suitable for a variety of clinical applications.

Digital Integration for Effective Documentation and Training

To further enhance its clinical utility, the SL-9800 can be equipped with an image and video digitization kit, connected to dedicated software compatible with DICOM and Phoenix. The integrated camera, with its 2-megapixel CCD sensor, allows recording of high-resolution images and videos (1624×1232 for photos and 1280×960 for videos). These recordings are valuable for patient follow-up, student and resident training, as well as integration into electronic medical records. This capability to visually document examinations enhances the quality of care and the effectiveness of clinical training.

Versatile Accessories for Extended Applications

The SL-9800 slit lamp can be customized with various accessories to extend its clinical applications. Among these accessories, an adjustable external illumination system is available, allowing homogeneous illumination of the eye to facilitate high-quality photo capture. An optical splitter can also be added, enabling the addition of a co-observation tube for viewing by a second observer, ideal for training students and residents. Finally, a 20° inclination block at the eyepieces allows the user to adopt a higher position, improving visualization and comfort during long observation sessions.
